Hey Acorns! This page is dedicated to helping baby gals navigate their way around this subculture. From makeup tips, hair advice, learning about substyles to terminology, learning history and the gal lifestyle! Don't be shy to ask anything and I'll be more than happy to share my insight and knowledge, giving tips and advice I've learnt from my journey of gyaru. I hope this blog grows to be an extensive and thorough page to help the western gaijin baby gal community!

About me !

 ୨୧ `GET TO KNOW MY JOURNEY !!`

𖦹 I started Gyaru in 2024 ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧. My journey with becoming gal started with my hyperfixations of cross western and japanese media, watching western youtubers exeriience japan and their culture which is where my first exposure to gyaru was in 2017, through vlogs in gyaru hosted bars. I remember watching the interveiws with the gyarus and them expressing their love for fashion, being themselves and their gyaru lifestyle. I recall watching shows and anime where seeing gyaru characters with deeper complexions made me feel very seen. In 2022 I was reintroduced to the gyaru subculture as I saw more gyarus online through instagram and tiktok which motivated my desire to become gyaru and learn makeup.

𖦹 I loved fashion since a young age, where i started my fashion journey in 2019, which was when i was first exposed to j-fashion. I was mostly fixated on styles such as decora, yami kawaii and EGL! In 2020 I started to explore different fashion styles, from 2020 alt, office attire, dark academia and a large variety of styles (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶). Until 2022 I was introduced to the alternative fashion scene, where I felt very alligned with the values of alternative subctulures.

𖦹 I started my cosplay journey in 2023 doing closet cosplays with clothes I already had. ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡ I attended my first con at smash when I was 9 years old! Then I recently started to do more advanced cosplays and pursue cosplay as a hobby!
